Who we are

CG Power Charging Station is operated by CG Power Charging Pvt Ltd, based in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. We run a network of EV charging stations and the CG Power Charging mobile and web apps. This policy explains what we collect and why.

Information we collect

Account identity — your phone number or email address, used to sign you in and identify your account.
Profile details — an optional display name and your saved vehicle(s).
Location — your approximate device location, only while you use the app, to show nearby charging stations and sort them by distance. You can deny or revoke this in your device settings; the app still works.
Charging activity — sessions you start, energy delivered, duration, and cost, so we can bill you accurately and show your history.
Payment records — wallet top-ups and charges. Card and UPI details are handled entirely by our payment processor, Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
Technical data — basic device and log information needed to keep the service secure and working.

How we use your information

To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To find and display charging stations near you.
To start, monitor, and bill charging sessions.
To process wallet top-ups and maintain your balance.
To provide customer support and respond to your requests.

What we do NOT do

We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
We never store, record, or transmit anything from your camera. QR codes are decoded on your device.
We never share your contact details with other users.

Who we share data with

We share only what's necessary with service providers that power the app: Supabase (secure database + authentication), Razorpay (payments), and our charging-station hardware operators (to deliver your charge). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.

Data retention

We keep your data only while your account is active. When you delete your account (Profile → Delete Account in the app, or by emailing us), we permanently remove your profile, charging history, saved vehicles, and remaining wallet balance. Some anonymized or legally-required transaction records may be retained as required by Indian law.

Your rights

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Deletion — delete your account any time from the app, or email us.
Location control — revoke location permission from your device settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We'll post the new version here with an updated date.
